Plot
In the season 6 finale of Riverdale, Cheryl saves the town from destruction and the characters woke up in 1955 as high school students, with only Jughead remembering present-day Riverdale.
It is uncertain how long this time period will last, but showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has promised that previous storylines will still be addressed.
“It is not a hard, complete break with what has come before,” the showrunner told Decider in a July 2022 interview. “Jughead remembers everything that happened. And I think our characters, whether they’re conscious or not, have an emotional memory of what they’ve been through… It is still in continuity.”
